Technically speaking, these aren’t mud boots; they’re my hiking boots. They’re just muddy because, well, I was hiking in them, and the ground on which I hiked is more mud than dirt at the moment.

But to find even the teeniest bits of this (and it IS teeny; my phone is about an inch away from the superb greenery), not to mention seeing wild, still-fluffy-because-it’s-still-technically-winter ponies, it’s SO worth it.
Green coming up! Just don’t get stuck in the mud!
Thank goodness for the green … as little as it is (it’s only March!). 🙂
Bring on spring, green and lush !.
Yes, please!
Technically speaking it looks like you were cemented into the ground!

Ha, no. Just thick and still wet. … I’ll admit I did think mob thoughts, though!
You’re one tough lady. Trudging through mud can wear one out quickly. Bring on the green!😊
Toughness in this case was fairly relative to the determination I had to see mustangs despite the ground conditions for a few weeks! 😉
😅 Been there, TJ! Boots with BIG mud wedgies and “casings.” But I agree – it’s all worth it!
Both my boot laces had already shredded earlier this winter and had to be tied together. If you look closely, you can see that my right boot is missing a cross section of lacing … because it tore/broke/split again. I tied it again to a different place, enough to get me out of the mud with both boots intact! Now both boots have new laces. 🙂
Mud caked boots in spring is the ‘extra workout’ that helps us get rid of the ‘winter pounds’ we added to insulate, before we suffocate from them come summertime – :D. at least that’s the story I tell myself…… 😀
Ha – don’t I know it! I try to stay in shape through the winter in preparation for spring … but yeah, sometimes motivation is hard to find! 🙂
