We had some pretty great clouds, and Shadow didn’t often see her shadow because of them, but we’d sure like to see some moisture fall from those clouds.
Shadow looks great against that gray-cloud background! If looks could tell, you’d think some rain would be in the offing. We’re always just getting teased! 😐
Argh! Yes, always teased. Yesterday evening was the most promising … and therefore the most frustrating. At one point, I could hear misty pattering on my jacket, but I could only barely feel it on my face. The wind just whipped it away …
Hello TJ. Thanks for stopping to say hello and to give us some tips on how to view the horses today. As you suggested, we started counterclockwise on the loop rd, then took the spur south toward the “flying saucer” hill. We saw a band of 4 to the west and another of 3 to the NE as we walked SE on the horse trail at end of the spur. The we saw another 4 to the north across the basin from the spur on our return to the loop rd. The only white horse in the group of 4 to the north appeared to have a smaller dark one standing next to her or under her. They were way off, so we couldn’t tell, but could that have been one of the goals you mentioned? Of course, our binoculars were left on the kitchen table, so we were using the zoom on our camera. What fun. We’ll be back with binoculars & spotting scope. J& K
Great to meet you, Kathy and Jay! I’m glad you were able to see some horses and take a hike. 🙂 I think the smaller horse you saw was one of last year’s foals. I think you saw Hayden’s, Corazon’s and Kwana’s bands. Stay healthy, and come back soon!
What clouds and no rain.
I know, right? 😦
Great pic. Hope you get some moisture soon!
Me, too. As Sue says below, we’re teased and teased.
Moisture Moisture Mositure needed!!
Bring it on!
