We’ve had some warm weather – and by warm, I mean low 50s – so our snow is melting, seeping into the thirsty earth.
No worries, though! Rain (!) is in the forecast … followed by snow. 🙂 We’re ready!

We have had 50 degree weather and rain, too (Indiana). I’m ready for snow! : ) I’m glad you have moisture!
I read recently that the Great Lakes are pretty well free of ice this winter?? That doesn’t bode well? Hope you guys get your winter snow!
Yeah, it’s been abnormally warm, and it has made me nervous! I don’t like it. We need snow and normal January temps. Today is sunny, but is in the 30’s, so that’s an improvement!
Isn’t it funny how those of us who love winter really love winter?! I think we might drive other people crazy. 🙂 I lived briefly in northern Illinois at the end of high school (Army brat), and I remember how absolutely, insanely, CRAZY cold it would get! Like, freeze-your-nose-hairs cold! Then we’d have a little melt in January or so … then freeze again! And the horses would be slip-sliding around the pastures on the ice. OK, now THAT wasn’t fun. 🙂
Glad for all the moisture you can get!
Me, too!
Looking forward to our “big storm” tomorrow! Hope it turns out to be true – more moisture for that “thirsty earth”…and us!
You and us, all! I’ll take the rain, the snow, and anything in between. In just a day, a fair bit of our snow has melted, and though we still have places with at least a couple of inches covering the ground, I’m greedy enough to want to see that white! 🙂
Dirty or not the wild horses always look fab!
