That would be Tesora and yours truly … though my locks aren’t nearly as long as hers these days. 🙂

People may not realize this, but some grass squeaks like field mice when it’s eaten. We have a lot of alkali sacaton again this late summer, thanks to Mother Nature gracing us with some much-needed moisture. So there’s a whole lot o’ squeakin’ goin’ on as the ponies move along in their grazing.
It’s a sound of late summer … a sound to love.

Yeah … she’s *that* girl … so beautiful and so unobtainable. 🙂
Gorgeous Alegre – one of our most regal beauties.

There’s a commercial on TV these days talking about time … “since the beginning of time, there’s never been enough time …” or something to that effect. And since the beginning of time, there has been light. There’s the biblical kind, I suppose … but with the spin of this ol’ ball through space, around our life-source, the sun, light comes and goes, every day … sometimes more, sometimes less, but every single day.
That seems to be as simple a concept as keeping wild horses wild. If only it were that simple – and as easily obtainable.
Photographers chase it – the light – and interesting subjects to photograph IN that light. To me, there’s nothing more beautiful than beautiful light illuminating a beautiful mustang in her beautiful home.
We seek beauty; she seeks to continue her wild, free way of life. In seeking beauty, hopefully we may preserve it till the end of time.

Kwana eating flowers (anyone able to ID these “sunflowers”?) just cracks me up!

SunnyD rocks the sunset light, even with his boo-boo.

Kestrel looks fabulous in any light, of course, but when it brings out her gorgeous gold … ahhh!

Most days, I still feel Pati Temple watching over us. The mustangs must feel her gentle protection, too … especially when it comes in the form of life-giving rain. 🙂

And isn’t he?? His scars, acquired over a lifetime of living wild (Seven is 16), betray his status as a wild boy, but his good looks put him in pretty good company anywhere.

Walking through the secret forest, Alegre caught a beam of sunlight.
She wears it well, don’t you think?
