TJ, what are those weeds growing in the top photo pond? Are they edible to the horses? Or are they some of the noxious weeds that tend to rob the area of moisture?
I don’t know. Not knapweed, though I didn’t stay long enough to look particularly because Seven’s band was in the area. They’re also not tamarisk. But obviously something that knew moisture would be back in that spot eventually.
Thanks to all of you that look out for the herd! Digging out the ponds was a great help. Hoping for more rain! On the news they keep talking about the Royal Baby watch, how are you doing on the FOAL watch?
Really happy.
🙂 🙂 🙂
Yes, it’s a great start and a huge relief. 🙂

Wonderful! Hope more rain on the way. Be in Cortez Aug. 3-12 – hope to get out to visit the horses then.
Let me know, Barbara! Hope to see you then.

So good to see water and know the horses have options, so to speak!
