He wasn’t torqued at the little bird (flocks of which were following the ponies for handouts – err, hoofouts?); he was moving his ponies through the rain. Something about the pic, his posture – his *greyness* against his dark mane and forelock, the rainy day – just grabbed me. He’s such a hunk!

A portrait of wisdom. Lovely, lovely girl. She’s another one that seemed to look now and then toward the sound of water – Spring Creek flowing with life-giving water.

Hollywood
We could hear water rushing through the meanders of Spring Creek below the hill and across the basin. Wowza. Now and then one of the horses would look up and stare across the basin toward the creek. The sound must have sounded amazing to them, too.

The rain is much easier to see here. Sunday’s rain was even better. Muddy roads limit access, but ponds must be full; Spring Creek looked like Spring River.

Ah, the relief of rain. It’s hard (impossible) to tell here, but it was raining. And it was awesome.
Two mustangs from different bands were close in the golden glow of evening. It truly is a magical moment in time of day.
