Heat at the equinox

21 03 2026

Yesterday was spring equinox, and now the days get longer (though after the time change, they already seem longer as I’m out way “later” chasing that golden light on golden ponies). The temp hit at least 85F. T-shirt weather. In March.

(Sue, I just saw the first prince’s plume plants shooting up their plumes. … Innnnnnnnnnnnnnnsane. At *least* a full month early???)

Thanks, Kate! πŸ™‚ I remember telling you how much I adore backlighting years ago. How’s the book coming …?

Oh my goodness, TJ!! Prince’s Plume? Now? That IS insane…and like we’ve fallen into some kind of weird time warp. I remember just two years ago they bloomed in early June! Maybe we should come out soon? I can’t believe we’re just at equinox; feels like a few weeks away from solstice. This is all so unnatural. Pretty backlit pony.

It’s crazy. The last few days have felt like early summer. I think we skipped both winter AND spring this year. :/ That’s my boy Buckeye. πŸ™‚

That’s what we’re saying (with regard to temp) … and not in a good way. πŸ˜‰
