Snowy butts

21 02 2026

All the horses had white tails (at least temporarily) yesterday while the wind delivered another dose of SNOW! And as you can see from the pic of Temple above, this time, it actually stuck (at least temporarily). πŸ™‚

By 1:30, the sky was clearing from white to brilliant blue, the sun was returning to its super-shine, and the snow was well on its way to melting.

The relief is palpable. πŸ™‚

We had three inches. And wind. Loved the three inches! And it’s still out there thanks to very cold temps. Also love those ponies with their snow tails!

That’s pretty awesome. I’m not sure of the exact amount, but I wouldn’t guess any more than 1 inch in any given place … but it was hard to tell because some areas were scoured clean by the wind (before the melting). … It’s brown again now, of course, but I hope it was a little bit of moisture to keep things going and keep hope alive! πŸ™‚ Kat and I were in Norwood last night – it had snowed and WAS snowing. There were piles in the center turn lane through town, kinda/almost like days of yore. πŸ™‚ All the way to Ridgway: GREAT snow! And lots of melting under the sunshine today, so fantastic moisture up there!

So glad for the snow! Hope more is on the way! The horses blend in well with the white!

There’s some rain in and out (as usual) of the forecast for this coming week … when we’ll be back in the 50s to near 60! I hope it proves true. πŸ™‚

I feel your frustration, and worry too.

So great to see you and Floyd today! We didn’t have a lot of time to visit, but it was wonderful as always to see you both. πŸ™‚
