I waited out the rain before going out to see the ponies. The ground was still damp (it soaked into the parched ground very fast, and the ground was still very dry beneath the very shallow damp earth), and there was a bit of rain in the far reaches to the southeast and back to the west-ish. That’s not Temple Butte beyond Temple in the rain, but it looks similar/familiar in the haze of the rain (which is SOOOOO much better than the haze of dust and smoke!).
Temple is a mustang goddess. So beautiful. And so is the rain, TJ! Glad you have been included in this mini-monsoon. We could use so much more; I can’t believe how quickly the moisture sinks into the soil and then – disappears. A lot of deficit.
Well, just Friday so far. π And already, later chances are dwindling. … But I’ll keep hoping until they’re gone! I’m glad it’s raining around us, but we could sure stand to be the bull’s eye in the rain target. π
I bet the horses enjoyed the rain! Hopefully more is on the way!
I said the same to them while I was with them. π Sure hoping for more!!!
The Thunder storm passed through here Friday. Very little rain. I wouldn’t even call it rain. Just some scattered drops. The air was hot and muggy through Sunday. Yuck!
I’m so happy your area got actual rain.
Ugh. That happens so often to us. π¦ A big buildup … and then nada. I hope a future wave drops a drenching load of water over ya’ll!
She is so lovely π₯°
Yes, she is. π
