After lots of clouds during the day, the sun dropped below the cloud layer, above the horizon, for a just gorgeous display of light. It wasn’t necessarily a fireworks kind of display, but gosh, did it light up a couple of mustang boys right near the road.
I love those sudden bursts of light as the sun sets through an open crack between earth and cloud. You captured this perfectly, TJ, and with a cherry on top – the fading silhouette of one perfect mustang!
A breathtaking and timeless image…
I do adore backlighting with low, golden light. 🙂
I love them, too – especially when I have mustangs nearby at the same time! 😉
Another really unique picture! Very nice, indeed!
That rimlighting is just divine! 🙂
The weather in western CO has a surprise in it so many days this spring ! Jealous of the sunsets in the basin so thank you for sharing with all of us ! Hopefully you’ll get / got a bit of the rain in the area today.
We’ve had a great day of rain and drizzle today! ‘Course, it’s been windy, too, so the ground was dry between rain waves. 🙂 It’s raining again now, so it’s great!
I thought of your mustangs today as I was driving home from the refuge with Bear. A couple of young horses were gallivanting jubilanty together in the wind.
I bet they were fun to watch! 🙂
So beautiful! Red horses with black manes and tales!
Sounds like bays; some shades of bay can be really “red,” and they have black manes, tails and forelocks, and legs. 🙂 I love bays.
Breathtaking photo TJ.
It was just a few glorious moments of gorgeousity!
