Gimme a swish, eh?

There’s a lot of mutual bug-relief-seeking behavior among the horses, including Juniper and one of her band mates.

Those poor mustangs! The gnats are in “full bloom” and they know where to find us. I love how the ponies stand nose to tail to sweep those monsters away! Always clever critters.

No kidding. I want to put fly masks on them all! πŸ™‚ The gnats – and mosquitoes – are h.o.r.r.i.b.l.e! And the heat … ugh. Hopefully there’s some more rain for us at the other side of the “heat dome”!?

Yeah. Not cool. Nasty little buggers. … But the mosquitoes – where they are – are worse (at least they’re not as widespread, but they’re awful). I imagine you’re under these hot, hot temps, too. Hope the nearby fire is out or contained (or both)!

It’s HOT! By

Thankfully the fire is out. Firefighters are mopping up hot spots. The smell of smoke is minimal. I can’t wait for Winter.

Thankful the fire is out! In my experience, firefighters do a great job ferreting out the hot spots and making sure they are cold, dead out. That smoke smell is terrible … a reminder! I’m glad it’s minimal. I’m more a winter person, too. … I try not to look too far ahead, and I try to enjoy the seasons … but I’m eager for fall, which is my very favorite season. πŸ™‚
