I love meadowlarks. Ever since I lived in Montana and became aware of their distinctive liquid-gold trill of a spring song, I’ve loved these bright little birds. They also practically beg to be photographed! And yet, I am *not* a bird photographer, and though they’re bright, they’re also fast! I got this pic, another pic, then this pic:
And the next-to-last pic was one where I cut off the bird’s beak as s/he flew … and then one of the empty post. 🙂

Those wonderful birds are a favorite of mine too, TJ! And I’d say, your two posted pics certify you as an authentic “bird photographer.” They’re beautiful – very Audubon-worthy!
The only way I got these pix is that it was very close and stayed on the post long enough for me to fumble about with my camera until a few seconds after I got a few pix clicked. 😉

I love watching birds! I just haven’t been able to capture them in photos . Yours came out great!
I usually can’t capture them in photos, either. This little gem took pity on me by being very close for just the time I needed. 🙂
