While grazing on steep terrain (in this case, up the side of Round Top), it’s important to watch one’s step while negotiating a turnaround in pursuit of more tasty bits.
It was a very bright, blue-sky day – and warm! We’ve had our first 70-degree day in Spring Creek Basin. Very windy; very dry. Sunscreen returns to the list of necessary items for a visit with the wild ones. 🙂
Mustangs are not only handsome but nimble and agile! I’m always amazed at how well they negotiate their high desert terrain.
I do like to say they’re related to mountain goats – and I stand by that observation! 🙂
Being careful is always a good plan!
For sure! Mustangs are amazingly sure-footed!
What a gorgeous photo of a gorgeous horse!!! I am always amazed at how large Mustangs hooves look. Sturdy! Glad you have a lovely day for visiting and taking photographs.
Mustang hooves are so incredible. I was looking at tracks just the other day that were so perfect, except for the lack of nail marks, they looked almost shod – wonderfully thick hoof walls!
Mustang tough.
We’ve had temps in the low 80’s earlier this week , now we’re in the upper 40’s with light rain 😄.
I hope the rain finds its way to Spring Creek Basin. 🤞🙏
Yay for your rain! We’ve been consistently in the 70s this past week (and windy), and we DO have a chance of rain tomorrow. 🙂 C’mon, rain!
