Open water

And snow. But not the sticking kind.

From Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning, we got 0.51 inch of rain (yes, rain). That’s nearly double what we got in all of January, and it left our ground riddled with puddles and gloriously soggy; that’s a lot for us at one time. We had two waves of snow yesterday afternoon, neither of which resulted in sticking snow.

We do appreciate the soggy conditions!

Glad you got the moisture too, TJ! Ours was mostly rain as well so very soggy here – nice to see wet soil again! The pond in your photo looks good…as does the peekaboo mustang behind the bush. 😁

Thankfully, that pond is much bigger than it looks behind Maia – lots of good water. πŸ™‚ We got a little skim of snow overnight … and it’s mostly melted with the warm, muddy ground. Doesn’t take long for that moisture to percolate into the soil!
