These warm (at least 50s) days have the mustangs rolling in the bits of mud they can find (it’s out there, in the shady places) because those great winter coats, so effective when it’s winter-cold, get awfully thick and itchy when it’s so unseasonably warm. Piedra was one of the cleanest mustangs, but you can see by the ruffled hair on her chest that she’s been sweaty.
Just another beautiful day in mustang-land.
Sweet gal. Too warm for February! Still cold here and we have maybe 6″ snow – supposed to be FORTY (40) today!! Just put flea/tick meds on Axel – cant take the chance of those darn ticks getting on him – the ground hasnt even frozen – BAD! Makes snow-plowing very hard – tearing up the ground.
Thinking good thoughts of snow for you.
We have no snow and have temps in the 50s this past week (including today). We were hoping for snow tomorrow. Nope, it’s dropped to rain with the high in the mid-40s. Ha. I hope it actually DOES rain?! Thanks for thinking snow thoughts for us; we need it badly.
I know how she feels. We hit 72° on Monday. Too warm for winter!
Right?! My folks hit 74F in Central Texas. A visiting friend talked about 70s in the Tucson area. Way too crazy. 😦 Hope ya’ll get some winter rains!
A little too warm these days…especially for the heart of winter! Hope those ponies don’t put away their winter coats too soon; things can change so dramatically around here.
I mean, I love sunshine and temps in the 50s as much as anybody else, but I am starting to get worried. Fortunately, the ponies are staying well-fuzzed. 🙂
Hoping for a cool down and some snow! Beautiful picture!
Thanks, Karen! We’re hoping!!!
