This pic was taken on the first day of 2024 – as were a number of others – and it (and they) never got posted because it snowed soon afterward, and I posted *those* pix. … We got a couple of encouraging little snowfalls … and since then, bupkus*. As in zilch, nada, nichts, nyet. And I’m as upset with the forecasters as I am with Mother Nature currently. Irrationally, I know, but C’MON! Please??
So I thought a nice, happy, bright pic of one of my favorite families would cheer me up – and you readers along with me.
Please: Say some prayers, appeal to the universe, Ma Nature, Father Winter, dance in the moonlight snow (it IS getting bright out there, though there’s no snow on our ground to reflect it), whatever you think might jog some moisture loose from the sky. We’re in desperate need of snow (or rain). …
(* Who knew, but bubkes (correct spelling) actually is a word. Find the meaning of it here.)
Beautiful band as always.
Temp here is up 20 degrees (33) so Axel can go “up back” with me and get a walk. (At 11, his feet got really cold)
Weather forecast is for FORTY on Thursday which means all this nice snow will likely melt AND there will be the ice once again.
Iget the frustration with NO snow, TJ – sadly, I’m afraid these are the kind of winters we are stuck with. Too bad the powers that “be” didnt wake up to the fact of climate change a few decades ago!
Thoughts & prayers for snow!
Glad you’re getting to walk with Axel in a bit warmer temps. Our forecast has 50s to near 60 coming up. Too dry, too warm. Thank you for the prayers for snow!
Yeah, “bupkus” is the word when it comes to moisture reaching our parched-dry places. There ain’t none…and it’s annoying. But we’ll keep praying…and thoroughly enjoying your gorgeous mustang photos! 🙂
What a change from last year, eh?! Even though we didn’t have as much as y’all – and the rest of the region – we had SOME. We still have a lot of winter left. … I hope we get snow soon!
Beautiful picture! Will be praying for snow!
Thank you, Karen!
They are a good looking band ❤️.
Fingers, and toes crossed, and 🙏 for snow to come your way.
They are. 🙂 Thank you, thank you!
I feel the same way. We have a slight chance at the end of this week. Bear and I are not holding our breath. That is a beautiful photo. I love it.
Same here. We have some snow in the forecast for Thursday. … I’ll believe it when I see it (though I continue to hold hope!). 🙂 Thanks. 🙂
