Something about this image – the shade? – makes this scene look *cold* to me. Does it convey that feeling to you?
It WAS cold, and the wind didn’t help (unless you mean helping it seem even colder than the air temp).
This was late in the afternoon, and I’d been out for a couple of hours. Not much later, and my camera (battery) was struggling to work because it was so cold, even mostly sheltered in my pack. My old Canon is a workhorse, but cold is cold!

All those blues and whites really do scream COLD! I can just feel it looking at this photo, TJ. You certainly caught the reality in the image!
I was feeling a little down at catching them just at the end of sunlight over Knife Edge to the south … but when I saw this on the computer, I knew it said *cold*, which is just how it felt! 😊

TJ – a trick I use when shooting photography on big, cold mountains is to tape a disposable handwarmer over the battery cover of my camera. Dropping on in the camera case can also help. Just a thought to help keep your wonderful images coming!

Screaming cold! Yes indeed! Even when you dress warm that wind can suck it out.
Too true! Layers are my friends for sure. 😊 And hiking warms me up. Interestingly, while I’m with the horses, I rarely actually feel the cold. … My camera starting to not focus or take pix, though, *that* was noticeable! 😁
Yesterday was COLD. Today, here, is much better.
We had a temperature reprieve the last couple of days. Snow tonight/tomorrow? … Then frigid again! Meanwhile, my parents in Texas are colder than I am here! 😆
