Subdued and muted at the end of the growing season (well past the end, one might argue), but beautiful as we head into the season of cold and white (we hope).

When I took the pic, I was focusing on the contrast between Winona’a coat and the shaded wall of the arroyo bank behind her. … When I saw the pix on my computer screen, it was those soft rust colors that hit me instead! 😄
