Daddy Buckeye and baby girl Bia were grazing together when a bit of excitement with a nearby band erupted.
Shadow had been grazing by herself while her band grazed on … away. Finally, her stallion decided that it was time to return her to the fold.

Note that Buckeye has moved closer to Bia to block her from any potential harm.
In moments, Shadow had returned to her family, followed by her satisfied stallion, and all was well in the basin once more.
(Look at that GRASS!)
Ahh, calm again and you witnessed the adventure!
The whole situation happened and was over in a few blinks of the eye – and clicks of the camera shutter. π
He is a very good daddy! Glad for all the grass!
Buckeye IS a very good daddy. π He learned from one of the best. SO glad for the grass. And relieved.
My goodness, TJ; Bia is really growing! And good for daddy, making sure she’s not in any danger. π
Bia is a long-legged girl like her mama. Growing up beautiful! π Buckeye is a protector, for sure!
Ah, little Shadow! β€οΈβ€οΈ
It’s been a while since she’s graced the blog, eh? π She’s still one of the very wary ones … not nearly as trusting as the human as everybody else, something I’m sure she finds to be most frustrating! π
The dynamics between the horses are always fascinating to watch!

Never boring. π Always something to see!
Wonderful story. Shadow is beautiful.
She has a big mustang trot for a little bitty thing (she’s not much more than big-pony size). π
She can come live with me π
