Baby Bia hangs out with daddy Buckeye in the shade of a western hill toward sunset. The temperature relief of shade is intense. Almost immediately, there’s a temperature drop of about 10 degrees – from upper 90s to upper 80s. It’s noticeable … and wonderful.
Awe, isn’t she the cutest! β€οΈ
She’s pretty dang cute – I think so, too. π
Beautiful photo, TJ. Bia is sure growing and looking good. And yes. One advantage of life in the high desert is that it does cool quickly once the sun starts getting low – and it’s a blessing!
Growing like a little weed – in the best sense! π And yes … we live for the hours the sun is NOT in the full-blue sky.
Wonderful photo TJ! So sweet.
I was sure happy to catch the pic of Bia with Daddy!
What a sweet daddy daughter! Love her markings!
π As any good daddy would do, I think Buckeye would say she takes after her beautiful mama.
We feel this immediately on our shady walk. Step out of the shade? But it’s trees so it’s a mixture. This photo makes me almost wish again I were a western artist. The little one is so beautiful as is her dad.
That heat and sunlight is intense. Shade makes a big difference … as does sunset! π I love that Bia is starting to get a bit independent now.
I’m so happy that the days are getting visibly shorter. A few more weeks, and no more (or a lot fewer) deer flies. I hope you, the horse and the dogs and I (and the farmers) get a monsoon before too long.
Surely the rains are coming sooner than later. I was just thinking this morning about shorter days. … They’re still plenty long and hot. π
Look at how long those legs are !
Sooooo elegant! π
Cool off when the sun goes down. Relax
Great pic!
It took a lonnnnggggg time last night for things to cool down. π¦ We need those rains – and some clouds!
So glad for them!!

Shade is good. π
