Highlighting our need for rain, Storm’s band wanders to better grazing after drinking at a pond, raising dust just during their slow mosey. We did get a little rain, but while much of Colorado is apparently rejoicing in a wet spring, we’ve mostly missed that rain.

How quickly things seem to dry out in our high deserts! We’re always needing more, and prayers for moisture are an ongoing activity in this country.
“Always needing more” – yes, yes we are and do. Hopefully there’s some heading to us today and tomorrow. It gets crazy listening to the Denver weather people talking about “when can we see the sun” and “when will it stop raining.”
Its dry here as well – NYS – we were supposed to get some rain last night but didnt. Much of the grass is brown rather than green now. Worry about the woods in back of me – so very dry. Hopefully theres still a ban on burning. Believe me I can empathize with the West & your drought.

I’ve been reading about the smoke from fires in Canada. I don’t think we’ve had much of that (hard to tell with the dust in the air from wind?). Same here, Karen – I thought at first that someone was burning – in the neighborhood – smoke & stinky smoke – the air is not good at all. I mowed my front & side yards & I guess I should have worn a mask!! This is really scary – all over the country now. Some rain might help a little.
Dust! We have wind , thunder, lightning no rain, yet!
We finally got (more) wind and about 217 drops of rain. … And that was it. Would almost be funny if we didn’t need so much more. Fortunately, we didn’t seem to get much in the way of local lightning.
