At the very end of the day, sunlight reached far enough across the basin to highlight the horses I was visiting … and not quite as far as the far hills, where the snow still fell.
With warm days, the snow is melting, melting, melting. It’s a “wealth” of moisture to which we are unaccustomed … and in which we rejoice. Wealth, to those who have no coins at all, is relative. It still seems impossibly wonderful and makes us dream of ponds in the springtime.
So good to be blessed with snow.
Yes!
So glad for the moisture!
So very, very glad!
You’re right, TJ – “those who have no coins.” We had just 0.6 inches of moisture on the gauge after those snows, but to us it was a bunch! š
We were very close to that – 0.64 inch, I think. And every drop precious. š
Ahh wealth in moisture. So lovely and so very needed.

It’s about all the wealth we have out here. š Very needed, indeed.
Here? got about 4 inches of snow, overall – from last Monday – Wednesday – my friend just 40 miles southeast of me received at least 6″ maybe more, but the ‘middle of two storm fronts’ warming made it hard to tell – – today? other than in shadowed/north side areas? Bare ground – it has all melted in to feed the soil – and leave the top bare, brown and dry looking – – sigh – I just figure, “soil water, even if I can’t see it, should help, come spring – – ” – but hard to feel up, on overall drought fronts, right here, right now, given small, dry falling storms and quick melt in/evaporate season thus far – — – we shall see….come next summer…..LOL
It’s all different, isn’t it? Even within the same region. That’s definitely true of us. Soil water! That’s definitely what we need … though water in our ponds would be nice, too. š
May the blessings and moisture continue.
Thanks, Puller! š
