Bonus points if you spotted the white spot on the hill behind Hayden’s band and realized there was another band up there. 🙂 They came later; mustangs have a great sense of etiquette and are very polite when it comes to manners. (At least, Spring Creek Basin mustangs are that way!)

No divisive behavior with our wild! So much for humans to learn…
Well, it’s not that there aren’t some disagreements and minor impatience, but it’s something I’ve noticed about mustangs in particular: THEY are very particular in their behavior and expect it of their fellows (and humans!).
Wonderful photo of Hayden and band. I saw the white speck, but went back to relook and then saw the grey flecks near it and now recognize as a band (prior to that, it didn’t cross my mind). The lighting is interesting too.
It was very late in the day, and I was checking a well-used water source. They seem to rotate around in their water usage, which is good, as it takes a while for some of the seeps to recharge. The night before, nobody was at this particular source.

The weather folks are telling us we’re about to see 100-degree days. But hey, it’s only 5 to 10 percent humidity! … Yikes. This *dry heat* is nothing to love.
Let’s have rain so they don’t to travel so far to get water.
