6 09 2015Pretty grey girl Juniper in a greasewood “forest.” She’s so grey now, she looks almost blue. Such a lovely!

Handsome devil
5 09 2015Hollywood is just another handsome mustang in just another gorgeous place in just another tiny corner of the West. And thank goodness for all those “justs.” They *just* add beauty to our world!

A little froggy
4 09 2015A frog in the desert? Yup. Disappointment Valley got a few drops of rain – enough to hit the water catchment’s aprons. In the puddled water at the base of one of those aprons was this little critter. S/he seemed to be alone. There’s rain in the forecast, but we’ve had a tough time getting it to actually fall on the target (that’d be Spring Creek Basin). But our range and ponies still look pretty great – especially for September.

Battle scars
3 09 2015The life of a wild stallion isn’t all mares and roses. Thankfully, mustangs seem to heal ultra fast. 🙂
