Great clouds provide a backdrop to the unnamed promontory, anchored by Puzzle, Tesora and Shadow. The day was pretty hot, and those clouds never built into anything carrying rain. We keep getting fits and starts, drops and spits. The monsoons are trying to get under way!

One valley over from Disappointment got rain yesterday evening, then boasted a gorgeous, full, double rainbow. On this side of the ridges, nothin’ but sunshine. It can’t miss us forever!

The horses are very healthy! Puzzle and gang were near a pond that still has good water in it, and the area around has good forage. In fact, there’s lots of good forage, but we need rain to fill ponds to the brim and replenish the seeps. It’ll come. đ
