Baby Mariah with her new family.
Even almost-yearling Aurora takes a role in protecting baby.
Mamas and their daughters. Notice Gaia shedding.
When the babies are little, mamas are constantly checking them, sniffing them, reassuring them – and themselves – that all is well. Each one so precious and unique.

Aurora is so beautiful! What a nice little family.
I enjoyed every post that I have seen.
I want to personally thank you for everything you do for the wild horses of Spring Creek Basin. Keep up the good work.
It is a joy to see the babies new babies; spring is a time of new life. I very much enjoy watching birds and being outside.
I am long overdue to be out of here – the library in Jamestown.
I agree! Love babies – love spring!
What a wonderful little girl π So happy to see the first foal of the year!
What a wonderful little filly! I’m so glad to see the first foal of the year π And I’m also happy I got my wordpress working again so it lets me comment.

Rachel – glad you got your wordpress working again!
Sweet caring sure shows up in your photos!
That’s what I like to show of the horses’ behavior – their family bonds and carring toward each other! Thanks, Pat!
