So much water

17 10 2025

That’s Winona, and this is the same pond from a few posts ago featuring Temple. The rain FILLED this pond, which was looking a little weak (but better than dry).

Same Winona, same pond, same almost-overtaken-by-setting-sun-shade time of day after she’d walked around it.

It was like taking pix of a mustang at a LAKE with all that water in the background. 🙂 It was a weird and wild and most wonderful situation, and I hope to see a lot more scenes like it.

First – 🥰 for our precious girl Winona and second – 😲 for that eye-popping pond…er lake! Wow, TJ. I love seeing those ponds like this – full to overflowing. What a wonderful gift for the ponies!

Absolutely! It’s such a literal relief to see that kind of water for the horses … AND to see horses there taking advantage of it! 🙂

So glad for the water! Wish it could be spread out during the whole year! There is a saying that it is either feast or famine! Beautiful gal!

Ha – no kidding. I like the little-at-a-time-so-there’s-always-*enough* theory of rain. 😉

It got really crazy on my side of the mountains. Not in my town, but 30 miles up the road. What did happen is the ponds at “my” refuge were restored a bit.

Ah, interesting! I’m glad your area got some rain, at least. Always great to have water restored (even a little bit)!

SO grateful. 🙂 It’s absolutely amazing to finally have such a surplus of water in the basin. It’s still very dry … but we have water!
