Desert bighorn sheep in Southwest Colorado.
I see them very rarely and treasure every (any) sighting. Please forgive the non-mustang, non-Spring Creek Basin posting of this encounter, but I was just that excited to make their (very brief) acquaintance.
They’re so cool!
They are beautiful – dont see many pictures of them.
I drive through that area all the time – and for many years – and *rarely* see them. I got really excited. 🙂
Wow, TJ! What a catch. They are elusive critters for sure so this is treat! And you even got to see a ram. Glad you were at the right place at the right time and could share this with us. 😃
The big ram was a big boy! They were completely focused on their grazing and only infrequently looked up and across at me. It was sooo cool to see them. 🙂
Love the pictures of these cool guys!
Aren’t they amazing!? SO cool! 🙂
I was driving through Utah with my friend when we came upon a small heard. We stopped and watched them till they moved on. It was glorious! They are something! We were so enthralled by them we didn’t take photos. 😆
Ha – I can imagine being so excited that you forgot to take pix! 🙂 I didn’t have my camera the first time we saw them and had to go get it and return! I didn’t want to leave. 🙂
They are cool. I have seen them up the road outside of Creede.
That’s so awesome. I’ve seen them more often outside of the Grand Junction area.
Thank you for sharing th
It’s a wonder you and Floyd don’t see them on the rocks and cliffs above your area. They’re super cool. 🙂
