You already know that I’m going to say that these flowers – such delicate beauty surrounded by such fierce thorns! – are one of my favorite signs of spring. 🙂 Even as temps soar into the lower 90s (argh).

Spring Creek Basin Mustangs 
Gorgeous catus bloom, TJ! Can’t believe you’ve been in the 90’s already! We’ve been getting a lot of rain and clouds – and giving thanks! – so we’ve been topping out in the lower 70’s. Hopefully some of this will make it’s way to Disappointment!
They’re absolutely *everywhere* right now! I wandered way past my (the horses’) trail the other day because I was so engrossed in wandering from cactus to cactus, taking pix of more and more beautiful blooms! Ha! 🙂 And yes, we had a high up to 93F (at least) … was that Sunday? We had rain Monday; nothing yesterday. Hoping for more today, tomorrow and Friday. Everything is crossed, and prayers are fervent!

I would think so! Your comment reminds me that I saw a hummingbird at a claret-cup cluster recently while out for a hike. I didn’t have a camera and was much too slow with my phone. But … so cool!
