Downslope

No height is unachievable by Spring Creek Basin’s mustangs. šŸ™‚ This is Buckeye, and he and the band weren’t actually too high up the base of Knife Edge. But the steepness of the slope still gave him reason to carefully pick his way down among the little rocks as he searched out green goodness.

Good looking guy as always!

Getting ready to comment on the upcoming roundups – BLM seems ready to zero out or remove too many from Adobe Town and Salt Wells (one of the two small curlie herds). This is even more scary than their usual goals, plus the Checkerboard mess.

Hope your little bands are safe.

I’ve read about that. Horrible. Can’t believe (well …) BLM would cave like that (again, yes, I can). 😦 We’re under AML in Spring Creek Basin, so safe for now. I wish BLM would put more effort into actual management. Roundups/removal are NOT management.

As in actually DO what they are supposed to? Yeah.

I am so impressed with your BLM crew – so glad that the young man who was removed was able to come back.

Buckeye is such a looker, whatever he’s doing! And I am always amazed at how fearless those mustangs are on very iffy topography!

I know, right? Me, too. I always have to remind myself to scan even the highest places where I don’t *think* they’ll be. … I even find old manure on top of Round Top!
