In just a super short visit with Sundance and his band after a quick hike from the road, this was the only time he looked up from his grazing.
Multiple clicks later, and from those images, this one is the one I liked best of the boy. π
And not long after that, the sun dropped below Flat Top, behind the horses, and that was the end of the glorious light. Good night, sweet ponies!
This is a beautiful capture of this gorgeous boy. I love the light shining through his mane.
He is the model for backlighting! I love photographing him this way. π
What a wonderful photo, TJ! Sundance glowing in the last glorious rays of his namesake. How very fitting and how very beautiful!
He really does live up to his name. π
Very unusual picture! Love it!
I’m glad! π
What a wonderful face he has and the backlighting brings it out.
I love shooting backlit – period – but I *especially* love photographing Sundance backlit. … His profile and long mane and forelock just cry out to be *highlighted*! π
