Wild wisdom

Mysterium. Her wild wisdom is her classic “mystery.” We like to think we know it. How amazing would it be if we really knew the broad variety of the wisdom she knows and shares with her bandmates? How amazing would it be if we humans knew or could learn a fraction of the wisdom these wild ones know in their bones, through the ages and their mothers and mothers’ mothers?

*****

We had a wonderful little snowfall yesterday morning (from overnight). Nice and heavy and wet, and the parched ground and vegetation slurped it all up in practically record time. We might get more. We HOPE for more!

Mud is a good thing. 🙂

So glad for the snow! Hoping more is on the way soon! The wild ones have more knowledge than people will ever have!

We got more rain this morning, and this afternoon, it’s trying to turn to snow, though it’s struggling to stick on the relatively warm and definitely very wet ground. 🙂 The wild ones most certainly know more than we puny humans. They may not have thumbs, but they have the wisdom!

So glad you got that almost-three inches of snow, TJ! We had very, very little yesterday - some “skiffy” patches. mostly just shrieking wind. And Mysterium is gorgeous…and wise, as are all of our wild ponies.

Argh – so frustrating that ya’ll got skipped again! The wind, though … ! We had a wind advisory here, but until I saw your comment, I’d forgotten about it because we didn’t get the bad wind. Hope you’re getting some of this moisture today, though the radar looks a bit light in that direction again.

So did we. I was the only human out there shoveling as a cover for standing around in the falling snow.

Wonderfully well played! 🙂 Hope ya’ll got some measurable snow if you were even pretending to shovel?

8 inches Friday. It melted fast. A few more inches this morning. I didn’t shovel. It didn’t last long enough, but that’s OK too. I love it so much.

Eight inches! Wow! That’s awesome! Our almost-3 inches melted fast, too. We’re getting a weird rain-snow mix this afternoon (still falling, though it’s lighter, and it’s not sticking). I am SO thrilled with the moisture … though it’s going to make moving around difficult the next few days. 😉

Just looking at Mysterium’s face and eyes is a wonder to behold. What is it about the mustangs that soothes me, gives peace and comfort and wonder?
