The little bit of snow we got this morning wasn’t a measurable amount, but it added to the ground’s moisture. You can see a bit of Skywalker’s “mud boot” as he lifts his leg to explore another tasty bit. I can attest to the fact that mud-on-mud-boots (well, I was wearing hiking boots that were defacto mud boots given the conditions) is heavy, awkward and energy-draining. … The ponies take it all in stride (literally).

Up to 40 here & beginning to look like rain.
We finally ended up a little colder and got a skiff of snow. It melted fast, but it’s a relief.
Well, I was way off, ended up being a beautiful sunny day over 50 degrees! Not exactly wintry like but at least sunny.
🥰 Mr. Skywalker is definitely in “mud baby” mode. Nice to see wet dirt out there!
True to both! I love the sort of “bronze” look of the hills when wet – and of course the snow on the far ridges!
