Grey, all grey

Storm and two of his mares look toward sunset just after the sun had dropped behind Knife Edge.

It’s October, but it still sort of shocks me that the horses are starting to grow their winter coats. How did we get to this (wonderful) time of year again? We ARE enjoying the autumn loveliness!

Handsome boy Storm. He looks good in his fall attire! And just like him, we’ve been needing an extra layer in the morning. 😊

We definitely have need those extra layers. I was all bundled up into the basin the other day! The temp drops sharply after sunset. 🙂

Very much. The cranes have returned, there’s a dusting of snow on the peaks, the only bug was a determined bee.

Ah, gorgeous. 🙂 We still have some flying critters here – warm days. But we have a freeze warning for tomorrow morning! I’m loving it.
