The business of keeping away the flying buggies never ends for Seneca and the other mustangs during these long, hot days of summer. Savvy humans rely on head nets!
Hope you continue to avoid them. The horses don’t seem to mind much except those huge black ones that know to land on the middle of their backs/tops of their hindquarters because the horses can’t reach ’em there.
Ha! I still wear it occasionally, when needed. It’s been so windy, still, that sometimes the gnats are just a minor irritant. Other times, they’re terrible, and that’s when I wear the headnet. But if the air isn’t really moving, that thing is suffocating. Yes, the horses have to deal with the bugs always. 😦
That is one beautiful and elegant swish! Pretty…and practical. Those mustangs have it all going on.
Ha – they sure do! 🙂 I find myself definitely trying to capture those graceful swishes. The mustangs all have their own styles!
Love this pretty swisher gal!
Me, too. 🙂 She’s so laid back and calm.
Love the shadows but would hate the gnats !
Ugh. They’re bad. Even with a headnet, the buzzing is enough to drive a body crazy! And now, the biting flies are out – forget wearing shorts!
Oh the bugs. We are getting out early. Only one deer fly bite so far. My heart goes out to all those horses.

Grrrrrrrrr…
I have not seen a pix of you with the black gnat protector on. Have woy become immune?
The horses are still trying to keep them away!
