
People may not realize this, but some grass squeaks like field mice when it’s eaten. We have a lot of alkali sacaton again this late summer, thanks to Mother Nature gracing us with some much-needed moisture. So there’s a whole lot o’ squeakin’ goin’ on as the ponies move along in their grazing.
It’s a sound of late summer … a sound to love.
