A friend who follows baseball says the boys of summer play about 987 games per season (that may be a slight exaggeration; I can never remember). But to the mustangs, the buggy days of summer may feel at least that long. But as we make the turn toward fall, the days are getting cooler – dropping into the lower 90s from the upper 90s and 100s – and the swarms of biting, buzzing bugs are lessening to mere clouds.
We did get rain, which has been an enormous and huge relief and help.
Good riddance to summer bugs and bring in those cooler temps for the mustangs!
