Storm is a hunk. Don’t argue. He rocks this image all by himself.
But take a closer look. See the flutter of blue over his back, just behind his withers?

This is a massive crop of a very out-of-focus mountain bluebird.
Oh, spring. We wouldn’t say “no” to more snow … but we welcome your light and new life. 🙂
Spring is here with summer on the way with a flash of blue! Good catch!
Love to see those flashes of blue! Summer’s heat can wait a bit. 🙂
Great contrast TJ, the mighty warrior with his scars to prove it and the fragile, delicate little Mountain Blue Bird flashing his blues in the background. Photography well done. “It’s spring again, birds on the wing again!”
The birds most definitely are “on the wing again”! Much of nature is a study in contrasts, eh? And all so beautiful … together. 🙂
Oh yes! They are starting to appear again! Our prairie is full of the Horned Larks. And I am dying to see the Meadowlarks again. 🙂
Storm is a hunk it’s true!
Meadowlarks have been among my favorites since my Montana days! They do sing beautifully in Colorado, too! Do you guys still have snow?
