For all you Houdini fans, the beauty girl herself. Wise and marvelous, Houdini is a grand ol’ dame of Spring Creek Basin. These elders show the youngsters the way of wild life and all it’s meant to be.

Grand
16 05 2015He is a grand old man of Spring Creek Basin. Oh, the stories he could tell about life on the wild range.
Great moisture news: We’ve received more good rain. We need saturating, puddling rain to fill our ponds, but the grass and other green bits are getting a delicious and reviving drink.

Easy breezy
14 05 2015He’s pretty easy on the eyes, hey?
After our last little bit of rain, it has been windy. Before our next bit of rain (according to the weather gurus), it has been windy. We have some goooooood rain chances for the next few days!

Happy Mother’s Day!
10 05 2015After yesterday’s post showing handsome Skywalker, I thought it would be fun to do a little throwback for this Mother’s Day.
Our mothers give us good beginnings to launch us into life. Mustang mothers are no different.
Thanks, Mom, for all you’ve done and all you continue to do. 🙂

Boys being boys
9 05 2015Ah, the sweet days of spring. Cool weather, wind to keep the gnats away, naps in the shade, the promise of rain … what?! Yep, more rain came in the afternoon and evening.
Double, triple, quadruple yep – we are loving the moisture!

Dream time
8 05 2015While Ty was snoring a bit off to the left, Seneca was in the grip of dreams.
Humans dream of wild horses galloping wild across the range. Of what, oh what, do mustangs dream, napping upon that wild range?

Home, sweet
7 05 2015Seneca and Chipeta take a nap below Temple Butte.
A few minutes later, a little rain shower swept through, and we rushed for cover.
Well, they rushed. It was kinda funny to see tough mustangs making a run for the few trees in the area.
The rain didn’t last long. The naps lasted much longer. 🙂
