Corazon looks plenty stout, doesn’t he? He’s a mature band stallion, exact age unknown.
Now look at him next to almost-7-year-old Storm. π

In good news, Disappointment Valley and Spring Creek Basin got moisture! It looked like snow, but it felt more like rain. It barely dampened the top layer of soil, but rain came in the night. The earth says “ahhhhhhh”!

(Snow here, clinging. Thank you gods!!!) I had no idea Corazon was such a little guy! Well he’s got a HUGE heart! But, what’s he doing over there on the “Stormy” side? Or Storm and band ventured that far south?
Storm and his band were the visitors. Several bands seemed displaced after recent ATV activity in the basin.
What a handsome guy. Love the roaning on this flank/hip. Nice dark black(?) and snowy white.
Yep, he’s a true-blue black-and-white pinto – one of only two in the basin.
Sweet post, TJ.
Love your boys, love the rain!
Oh, us, too! It’s already dry, but it seems a little greener … and the dust is dampened. π
Wow, he is gorgeous. Amazing, the difference in size, I had no idea the mustang differ that much in height. On the other hand, it seems only logical if you look at the different lines that they come from.
Definitely. Friend Kat adopted a big mustang from Wyoming who is probably at least 16 hands (??) as a 4-year-old. And we’ve seen big, draft-type mustangs at the Canon City facility. Some of the pintos in Spring Creek Basin seem to be on the small(er) side, for sure, but it’s hard to tell unless they are next to big(ger) visitors!
