Aspen and a friend watch Comanche’s band. The horses saw him (her?) before I did, and she (he?) didn’t know I was there until I called out a hello. I scared him/her more than the horses did, just being human.

TJ, my guess is all the creatures of Spring Basin know you mean no harm – just beautiful photos to share with us – thanks!
Unfortunately, I really did scare him/her. S/he visibly flinched when I called out “helloooo, coyote!” then took off. π¦
Are you serious??!! This is AMAZING, TJ!
Great capture before he/she saw you.
I love how the sun outlines both animals.
You’re the best!
It’s probably healthy to have a fear of humans. S/he looked healthy anyway!
The little coyote that I rescued eons ago, was just ingrained to be petrified of men. She gaped and hissed and spit and tried to get away from all men. She was fine with women. Just MAN.
Why is it that when animals have a fear of one gender or another, it’s always men?
Real friends are found just about everywhere you might least expect to find them. Really nice to see this interaction between species! Sometimes, I wonder what we humans have lost in OUR particular journey. Really nice shot – tells the story. It takes a certain understanding – something few humans have… Good job!
π It was very cool to see the coyote.
