A return to an old friend:
Duke, caught in the act of turning. It makes him look more animated than this usually calm boy acts, and I love the swish of his tail, the wave of his mane, his gorgeous, rich, thick bay coat against the rock wall of the canyon, topped by snow. And I love this bachelor boy – in case you couldn’t tell. 🙂
Easy to see why he is one of your favs!
Another fabulous picture 🙂
By the way thanks for the “The Wild horse Scientist” recommendation, I asked for the Douglas County Libraries to order it for everyone to have access to it.
Want keep our public informed as best as possible about our mustangs. 🙂
Teresa – that’s terrific! And a good idea for here, too! Thanks for doing that! Hugs to you all and Breeze and Sage!
I can see why!! Gorgeous!
I do have such a weakness for bays. 🙂 And Duke is such a quiet character. Love him!
What a beautiful horse Duke is. I love bays too.
I’ve always wondered whether he and Bounce and Poco are related. They have the same mouth/chin. But where Bounce and Poco are short and fairly compact, Duke has a longer build. Funny resemblance with the chins, but there ya go. 🙂
