Our little bitty man is growing so fast.
Yesterday in the basin was an amazingly beautiful – warm! – day! Poco and Roach remain elusive, though I was able to get quite far into the interior, but I did see another elusive boy – Duke! Not close enough for pictures, but he’s doing well.
It will take me awhile to get through pix again, but I thought I’d tease ya’ll with this one of Hayden and his mama, Jif.

What a handsome young man! We sure do hope he gets to stay in SC. It’s his home and he and Mom seem so happy and content there! Besides, he’s Grey’s son!!!!

Hayden is so cute! =D They are both a part of Chrome’s herd, correct? Jif was the first mare that Chrome stole to start his herd, and Hayden was stolen along with Jif when Hayden was just a little colt… =) See? I can keep up with this! Anyways, they are both just adorable! I LOVE looking at pictures of wild horses.

VC – Correct! You’ve got ’em down! One minor thing: a “herd” is the whole Spring Creek Basin population; bands are the subgroups. So Chrome’s band is part of the Spring Creek Basin herd. It’s awesome you know them so well!
