Spring Creek Basin Mustangs 
Jif & Hayden. I know we will likely have a show of affection (or at least connection) by Cuatro & Hayden for February, but I simply cannot resist this pose. To me, the attitude of their heads is the perfect representation of the bond wild horses retain throughout their lives. Plus the snow in the background certainly says December!
I’m not familar with these horses, although I hope to see them this Spring and will be going through TJ’s previous posts to see her wonderful photos learn more about each individual. One question: Which horse is which? Is Hayden the same Hayden as in the February photo all grown up?

I love the picture of Jif and Hayden–all of the pictures are wonderful. Where can we buy it when it’s done and when will it be available?
Linda – Hayden is the same Hayden. 🙂 He was born in September, so he was about 5 months old in February. Now he’s a year and almost 2 months (the pic was taken Dec. 1). Not quite all grown up …! I hope you do get to see them this spring! It’s a beautiful time in the basin!

We really liked Duke and Twister, but the white background combined with their sweet expressions makes Jif and Hayden the winner.

Duke and Twister, bachelors without ‘close’ family is also a great shot, but Jif and Hayden is so emotionally compelling, we can’t turn away from it!

The elusive shot of Mesa is wonderful, but the photo of Jif and Hayden has that emotional tug. My vote is for Jif and Hayden.
The photo of Mesa is a close second but I I love the photo of Jif and Hayden for December. In such a cold month, the warmth of emotion conveyed in the photo is great.
