Calendar – September

8 12 2010

September’s selections:

Corazon & Mesa

Mouse & Sundance

Sundance, Mouse & Aspen

Puzzle

Maiku, Spook & Chipeta

Mona & Shane

Seven

Note: The photo of Seven also is a contender for the calendar’s cover.

Tough, right? For me, this is at least as difficult as May. And the cover? Grey/Traveler … or an equally stunning stallion I believe is his son? I’m still not even sure which one *I* would choose.

This is too difficult. I pick Maiku, Spook & Chipeta sinply because of the movement and variety. I love Seven and would put him on every page…

Wow, what a difficult month! Can you make a collage? LOL I’ll go with Puzzle.

Maiku, Spook & Chipeta. I agree with Tami. This “moving” image is different from those we’ve seen so far.

I’ve haven’t captured movement very well since I changed from 35 mm. My Fugi digital is the best I could find (and AFFORD) at the time. I’m sure it’s a combination of the delay and properly “leading” the subject. I’d really like a Canon DSLR with a motor drive (and LOTS of batteries), but YIKES, they’re expensive!

That photo of Maiku, Spook and Chipeta was a combination of low lighting, slow-ish shutter speed, knowing where the horses were going to go and luck! And it was the one of the series that had the best composition and feeling I was after. I’m not very good at that sort of capture, either – a little bit of “hope and trust” is involved!

You really make it hard, but I think I will pick Maiku, Spook, and Chipeta.

We both vote for Maiku, Spook and Chipeta. LOVE the action and clarity! Besides, the Pintos don’t get a lot of exposure because they’re not always where folks can see them…

I REALLY, REALLY like the one of Seven, though!! Maybe the cover?! Lynn

So, now you’re really starting to play “hardball” with us, huh?! So many are so good – geez!!

The photo of Seven really stands out for me, and that way the photo of Grey/Traveler can go on the cover….

Maiku Spook and Chipeta for me. I like the action, and I don’t know how many other pinto photos have been chosen. I love all those photos, though. Personally, if it was me, I might be forced to make a day by day calendar, because I can’t make choices like that.

I love these polls, they are fun yet hard :] I’ll side with Puzzle on this one- love her unique color!
[another plus side about this is I get to tell what I love best about the horses!]

Wonderful to come back from a day with the horses to see all your superb choices! I even saw Puzzle, Maiku and the other pintos today – first time in weeks. And I also lucked out and saw Poco and Roach – felt like I hadn’t seen them in forever.

I should have the last few months’ choices up ASAP!

It was so difficult to choose, but Seven gets my vote here. It’s a good month for him to have. Such a beauty…he truly deserves a photo in the calendar. My second choice was Puzzle…perfect name and so content.
